Tag Team TV Show with Roddy Piper and Jesse Ventura

Tag Team was a show that filmed for ABC TV back in 1990. It starred Rowdy Roddy Piper as Tricky Rick MacDonald, and Jesse the Body Ventura as Billy The Body Youngblood. Wrestling was riding a wave of popularity that spawned in the 1980s, and wrestlers were branching out into Hollywood TV and movies.

The show didn't air until January 1991, and ended up not getting picked up for any further episodes. Basically the plot of the show is that a wrestling promoter wife tries to force MacDonald and Youngblood to lose a match, and when they don't, they are blackballed, and start new careers as police officers.

It was a show kinda in the same vein as A-Team, Knight Rider, Airwolf. Its a decent show, too bad more episodes didn't air. Wrestling segments were filmed at a WWF Wrestling event which was Jesse's last wrestling match, and before his departure from WWF WWE in summer of 1990.
