Birth of Hulkamania

Today is the 30th anniversary of what wrestling fans call Hulkamania, which started on January 23rd 1984, when Hulk Hogan pinned the Iron Sheik to win the WWE Heavyweight championship.

 What followed was popularity boom for pro wrestling like never before. Events that featured Hulk Hogan, would sell out, a Hulk Hogan cartoon show was born, merchandising and licensing was huge!

 Pro wrestling on MTV, and NBC, all primarily due to the charisma, and star power of Hulk Hogan! WWE as we know it today, points to this moment when wrestling changed forever.
